And not all children even have families. We’ve had such a good year that we want to give back – and that means doing something special for the children in need in our community.”
It is with this thought in mind that the hundreds of salon pros who work at the 17 Salon & Spa Galleria’s throughout Tarrant County, Texas will be putting up a Foster Care Angel Tree to encourage the giving, so the kids can be receiving.
“Let’s make sure every child in our community feels loved this Christmas,” adds Knittel. “Salon pros, salon customers and members of the public are welcome to visit a salon and pitch in,” said Knittel.
The tradition of the angel tree involves setting out a tree festooned with paper angels. Every paper angel shows the age and gender of the child, and those who truly understand the Christmas spirit will pluck off an angel and buy a gift for that child. “At Salon & Spa Galleria, we are doing a little differently,” says Knittel. “We are collecting unwrapped gifts for a variety of ages because we want to include some of the older foster kids who often get forgotten.”
Though for most of the year this thriving beauty business is all about pampering the adults, while offering state-of-the-art salon suite amenities to the proprietors of the Salon and Spa Galleria’s numerous locations, one and all at the Galleria feel the true meaning of the season – and hope that you will too.
